I'm applying to the Design | Media Arts major, and part of the application requires a self-portrait... so here's mine.
This is my first serious attempt at a self-portrait and who knows how long it's been since I've even tried to do realism. And I have definitely never tried to do so with my tablet/on the computer/digitally. So uh, be gentle with your criticism. =__=
Also, from the shoulders down it looks really awkward because that's where the picture I was referencing ended. -_-" So my elbows and what-not probably don't look like that.
So this didn't turn out how I imagined but hopefully it's good enough to get me into the major. oy.
um... for my eyes, I actually have 'monolids', but sometimes my left one will "flip" or appear like it is double-lidded. XD I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about though I think i could have added more shadow or something. Actually here's the picture I was referencing (it's rather low quality becuase i took it with my webcam [link])
Recently I compiled a collection of "Self portraits done by female digital artists" published on a blog Naldz Graphic.

That's soo good (well to my standard
I think the elbow's alright.
the only thing I think kinda odd is the right eye (because it's so plain between the top of eyelid and the eyebrow >_<
Love the texture, feels like you did an oil or acrylic piece ^^
All the best! You've got talent
